About the Artwork
Bluebirds are found in North America including Eastern, Western and Mountain Bluebirds. Bluebirds often symbolize joy, hope and renewal. Some believe that the sighting of a Bluebird means that good news will be arriving soon. Some believe that they represent a lost loved one who has passed. When I researched the Bluebird for my painting, I was immediately drawn to their brilliant blue hues and fiery orange bellies. They do indeed exude peace and happiness, a playfulness if you will, that I strived to capture in my painting.
