About the Artwork
I painted this seascape after one of my many walks over by 31st Street Beach in Chicago. It was one of those perfect days in April where there was still a bit of a Spring chill in the air, but the warmth of the sun made it okay. It was cloudy that morning and as I walked, the stormy clouds began to lift away, and the sun came through along the horizon, eventually pushing the storm clouds out of existence.
