Launch of Mini Masterpieces
Affordable Art Initiative
What if original, fine art was accessible to all? When we think of fine art, most of us (including myself if I’m being honest,) think that it is unattainable except for those who have been fortunate enough to have a plethora of disposable wealth. This sparked the idea to launch my Mini Masterpieces collection.
For those of you who are also fellow working artists, you know the amount of time, thought, practice and talent that goes into creating a work of art. It is often an emotional struggle of layering the perfect colors, lines and textures to convey thoughts into images that were dreamt up in our beautiful, some might say unusual minds. All of these things taken into consideration validate the higher price points of fine art. They are absolutely one-of-a-kind, made by a person’s hand, and that should mean something.
That being said, Pablo Picasso once stated, “The purpose of life is to find your gift. The meaning of life is to give it away.” I thought to myself, how can I put the same amount of love, thought and emotion into a painting, and still make it affordable. As an artist and art educator, this idea of inspiring young minds to appreciate all of the arts, and start early in collecting work (fine art, music, literature) that speaks to them is important to me. The idea of giving accessibility to people of all ages, who haven’t had opportunities to purchase fine art, a chance to fall in love with an original piece, be able to own it and look at it every day is important to me. It is important for our souls, for healing, for living a life with substance and meaning.
My solution was then quite simple. I needed to put the same amount of love, passion and care into each piece on a smaller, less time-consuming scale. So that’s what I did. I hope you enjoy these small treasures and share them with your closest loved ones.
With much love and gratitude,
Daniela

As some of you may know, I lost my life partner, Jeff, to colon cancer in December of 2024. It has been the most difficult time in my life, and I struggle with it every day. He was also an artist, a very talented musician more specifically, and one of the most kind, compassionate humans I have ever had the privilege of knowing. I recently read an article in Psychology Today, discussing the power of art as it relates to mental health. For those of you who have had your own struggles, this article might offer some guidance.
